Pumpkin for your baby born after 10/15/12
Learn about pumpkins and gourds in the little classroom in the barn loft.
Find out how they grow and watch Farmer John carve one. There are so many learning opportunities on the farm.
Of course we can't forget about the fun, the silo slide and silo bounce, petting the kitties and visiting the chickens. Of course you can't leave without a pumpkin!
Call and schedule your class or group outing today!
What a special and fun way to measure your childs growth. Take a picture each year by "Farmer Johns Growth Chart". There are also perfect places all over the farm for that memorable Christmas photo. Also enjoy-
- pick you own pumpkins
- Sunday wagon rides
- visit chickens, pet kitties
- silo slide open daily
- see the witch and ghosts
- shop in the barn
- Love Inga, the chocolate lab
Visiting Farmer Johns is like a walk down memory lane. The barn was salvaged from several old barns and rebuilt in 2003. The oldest frame house in Freeborn County, built in 1868 was saved from destruction and attached to the house.
Many tools are displayed and repurposed and don't forget the jams for sale. Where else can you buy flavors you haven't tasted in many years such as elderberry, wild grape and red currant.
Come on over, set for a while, relax and enjoy reminiscing of times gone by.
